We all know the feeling of avoidance, how we ignore the repeated nagging and nudges to take an action, to face something we’re afraid of, to step into the discomfort.  And we all know the inertia of resistance, how it can sometimes feel like we’re trying to take a step forward while standing in mud up to our hips.

We live unaware that we are braced against our fears, our overwhelm, our insecurities, what we do not want to accept.  We remain unconscious of how we are moving through life as if we are holding our breath, restraining the flow of our very own vital life force.

We find all sorts of ways to justify the waiting, most often from an orientation of scarcity, that there’s not enough time, energy, resources, and so on.  What we ironically have difficulty accepting is that it takes an incredible amount of energy to sustain a lack of movement, to remain stuck and defended.

That energy is our life.

When we have the courage to embrace the stance of “no more waiting” in our lives, it means that we allow ourselves to touch into the place inside that knows what we need to do.  I use the word “allow” because I trust completely that we all have the capacity to wake up in these ways, to acknowledge the guidance that is always there pointing to who we are here to be and what actions are ours to take.

When we step into our own strength, we are able to see the choice that is always there before us.  Each moment.  It’s just a matter of priorities.

We awaken to see ourselves as stewards of our life energy.  Thus anything that binds or stifles that energy becomes our priority of attention.  It is our responsibility alone to nurture that creative flow within.

This is the ground of health.

From this orientation, the overwhelm, resistance, and recognition of avoidance get transmuted into guidance.  They point the way to where our attention needs to go.  They help us to see when we need to ask for help and rally support in our lives.

We need to embrace the dis-ease that is our own unique evolutionary path. We can not open without contraction.  We need to get stuck in order to realign our life energy.  We need to walk through the mud, feel the pain, hunker down to focus on the tedious tasks, speak our needs, let go of what no longer belongs, and welcome systems that create more ease and flow in our lives.

We need to become deeply intimate with what we have disowned within ourselves, in order to consciously arrive home to who we truly are.

A wise friend shared with me recently about her choice to stop waiting.  She said as she has been clearing the clutter within and without that she feels like she is readying herself to hold what she is here to hold.

When we stop waiting, we reclaim our life energy, our essential breath.  We naturally breathe in what is ours to receive, and we breathe out that which is to be let go and passed along.  We live in a direct, authentic relationship with the incredible life we have been gifted.  Alive, engaged, and awake.

So what are you waiting for?
What are you avoiding?
What are you bracing against?
Where’s the overwhelm creating resistance for you?

Please remember that you are not alone.  Invite the support you need to awaken your life energy, to free up the flow of your vital creativity, to reconnect with your essential health.

This is not just for you.

This act of courage is vital for our collective future.  Our individual health informs and is informed by our global health.  Each and every one of us is responsible.

The time really is now… for all of us.

No more waiting.
